Day 01: Arrival in Addis and Sightseeing in Addis Ababa

Upon your arrival at Bole International Airport and you will clear immigration and proceed to baggage claim, after collecting your checked bags, clear customs and pass through the arrivals hall where you will be met by our representative, who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel.

After a short break in the afternoon, you will start your city tour looking down on Addis Ababa from Entoto Mountain, the capital of Ethiopia before Addis Ababa. Here you will have panoramic views of the city with fresh air from the eucalyptus forests.

After the visit, proceed down to Addis Ababa via Shiro Meda, the city’s largest market for traditional clothes. Afterward, drive to the National Museum. The museum houses the nation's artistic treasures as well as many of the most precious archaeological finds such as the fossilized remains of early hominids, the most famous of which is "Lucy," the partial skeleton of a specimen of Australopithecus afarensis. The well-known Lucy is said to be 3.2 million years old.

After visiting the museum, you will drive to Trinity cathedral Church. This church is the highest-ranking Orthodox cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built to commemorate Ethiopia's liberation from Italian occupation and is the second most important place of worship in Ethiopia, after the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum. Finally, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: Fly Addis Ababa – Gondar

This day you will fly to Gondar, a town founded in 1636 by the great Emperor Fassiladas and often called the “Camelot of Africa.” Set in a landscape of incomparable beauty, it was the Royal Capital of Ethiopia until 1868. You will visit the Castles and Churches built by the Emperor and his descendant (termed by UNESCO as one of the World’s heritages). After lunch, you will proceed to the fascinating Debre Birhan Selassie Church.

The church’s walls and ceilings are decorated with scenes of Biblical lore and medieval history. The church is a rich showcase of the religious art of the Gonderine period and its ceiling of painted angels is only one of its kind.

Day 03: Fly Gondar - Lalibela

Be met upon arrival and you will be transferred to the hotel. Afterward, you will have a visit to the rock-hewn churches of Labella. Lalibela is the jewel in the crown of Ethiopia, the most famous church, and the scene of so many major religious ceremonies. The churches are carved below ground level and ringed by trenches and courtyards and are arguably Ethiopia's top most attraction.

They are connected to each other by a tangled maze of tunnels and passages. Among the churches you will visit are Bete Emanuel a 36-foot-high monolith considered by art historians to be the finest and most precisely worked church in Lalibela, possibly because it was the private church of the royal family, Bete Markorios a cave church originally used for secular purposes and thought to be around 1,400 years old and Bete Giorgis the most majestic and best preserved of all Lalibela's churches.

Day 04: Excursion to Yemirhane Kirstos half day

Yemrehane Kirstos is an old built-up church within a large carven. This exquisite church lies 42 km northeast of Lalibela and is situated at around 2700m. It is a masterpiece of Axumite wood and stone construction and is renowned for its interior decoration. Its beautiful wooden coffer ceiling is inlaid with hexagons and medallions with both figurative and geometric motifs.

Day 05: Fly Lalibela – Addis and Fly to Arbaminch

This day in the morning after breakfast you will have a flight back to Addis Ababa. Be met upon arrival and you will be transferred to the hotel for refreshment and relaxation. After lunch, you will fly to Arbaminch. Arba Minch is the largest town in southern Ethiopia, set amongst lush green hills near Lakes Abaya and Chamo. Arba Minch is named for the abundant local springs that produce a groundwater forest; in Amharic, Arba Minch means “forty springs.”

Day 06: Drive Arbaminch – Konso – Jinka Via Thursday Maket Key Afer

On this day before you start your drive to Jinka, you will enjoy a one-hour boat ride on the lake to Azo Gebeya, the so-called “crocodile market” not indeed a market at all, but a gathering place for tremendous crocs and pelicans.

Continue your drive to Konso where colorfully costumed dresses, impressive terracing of the Land, and unusually engraved wooden statues used as grave markers can be seen. En route, you will have a chance to attain the colorful Thursday market of Key Afer, where you will have a chance to see the different ethnic groups of Ari, Benna, Tsemay, and Hamer. Continue driving to Jinka for overnight at Eco- Omo lodge.

Day 07: Drive Jinka - Mursi- Turmi

After breakfast leaves Jinka and drive to Mursi village to visit and appreciate the very attractive culture of the Mursi tribe. They are renowned for the strange custom followed by their women who, on reaching maturity, have their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted. After lunch in Jinka, drive to Turmi to the visit Hamer people and their village. Turmi is a small town, which is the base to visit the Hamer village.

Hamers have remarkable hairstyles made from ochre, water, and binding resin. They rub the mixture into their hair and then twist the strands repeatedly to create coppery-colored locks. This is a sign of wealth and welfare.

Day 08: Excursion Omorate (Two way) and Dimeka Market (Saturday)

This day you will take an excursion to Omorate where you will have a cultural experience with the Geleb/ Dassenech people inhabitants of the lower Omo River Valley.

You will have a picnic lunch and you will precede your drive back to Turmi this day you will have a chance to visit the Tuesday and Saturday market called Dimeka. The Hamer and the culturally similar Banna people come there from the surrounding countryside to sell their wares, produce, and livestock, making this an interesting market to observe. The market definitely made for a fascinating visit, given all of the colorfully dressed Hamer people plying their wares.

Day 09: Drive Turmi – Arbaminch - Fly Arbaminch - Addis Ababa

On this day you will drive back to Arbaminch for the afternoon flight to Addis. Upon arrival in Addis, you will be transferred to the hotel. On this day 3 hours from your departure you will be met by the driver and transferred to the airport for your departure.
